FAQs
How long is each therapy session?
Most sessions are 45–55 minutes.
How often will I meet with my therapist?
Many clients begin with weekly sessions, with the option to adjust to biweekly or monthly as progress is made.
Is therapy confidential?
Yes. What you share in therapy is private, with the exception of safety concerns or legal reporting requirements.
Do you offer virtual therapy?
Yes. We provide both in-person and telehealth sessions for your convenience.
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
If you’re struggling with overwhelming emotions, feeling stuck, or wanting to build healthier habits and thought patterns, therapy can provide valuable support.
Can therapy be combined with medication management?
Absolutely. Many clients benefit from a combination of therapy and medication. Our integrated team makes coordination seamless.
What is EMDR therapy?
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based therapy designed to help people process traumatic or distressing memories. It uses bilateral stimulation (such as guided eye movements, tapping, or sounds) to reduce the emotional intensity of past experiences. Many clients experience significant relief from symptoms of trauma, anxiety, and PTSD through EMDR.
What is Brainspotting?
Brainspotting is a powerful therapeutic approach that uses eye positions to help access unprocessed trauma and emotions stored in the body. By focusing on a “brainspot” connected to a distressing memory or feeling, clients can release emotional pain and promote deep healing. Brainspotting is particularly effective for trauma, performance blocks, and chronic stress.
How are EMDR and Brainspotting different from talk therapy?
Traditional talk therapy focuses on discussing thoughts and feelings. EMDR and Brainspotting go a step further by helping the brain and body reprocess and release unresolved trauma that may not be fully accessible through conversation alone. These therapies are especially helpful for clients who feel “stuck” or who have not found relief through talk therapy alone.
How do I know if EMDR or Brainspotting is right for me?
Your therapist will help determine if these approaches are a good fit based on your history, symptoms, and goals. Some clients start with traditional therapy and then integrate EMDR or Brainspotting into their care when ready.
